Rosary Walk At Home
May is the month our Mary. We invite you to pray the rosary together as a family just like we would have done together as a “St. Martin’s Family”
This rosary walk is a wonderful way to pray the full rosary, while allowing our children the opportunity to move in nature and take a role in leading.
- Have your family bring a rosary on the walk. This may also help keep young childrens’ busy hands calm. If you don’t have a rosary, God gave us 10 fingers, so count the decades on your hands.
- This rosary walk prays the Glorious Mysteries.
Begin on your front door step
Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth;; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, died, and was buried. He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen.
The Our Father
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen
The Hail Mary x3
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of death. Amen.
Glory be to the Father
Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and will be forever. Amen.

The Descent of the Holy Spirit
LEADER: The Descent of the Holy Spirit
In the Third Glorious Mystery, we remember with Mary how she joined the apostles to pray for the gift of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. The Holy Spirit came down on them as tongues of fire, filling them with gifts to preach the Good News to the whole world. We ask Mary to pray for us, so that we might be open to the Holy Spirit, who gives us everything we need to follow Jesus and to preach his Good News with our lives.

The Assumption of Our Lady Into Heaven
Leader : The Assumption of Our Lady Into Heaven
In the Fourth Glorious Mystery, we contemplate how Mary was taken up into heaven at the end of her time on earth, to be with Jesus her Son and all the saints forever. Mary shares body and soul in the glory of the risen Jesus, her Son. Mary’s assumption reminds us that we the Baptized, will also share in the resurrection of our bodies like Mary, with Jesus, her risen Son.

The Crowning of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth
LEADER: The Crowning of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth
In the Fifth Glorious Mystery, we contemplate how God specially honours Mary for saying “yes” to his plan to bring Jesus into the world. Mary is our model; she shows us how to follow Jesus. She is our Mother and Queen; her prayers for us to Jesus the King of heaven will always be heard. We ask Mary to pray for us to God for the help we need to live as disciples of Jesus. We want God’s Kingdom to grow in everyone’s hearts, so that all God’s people will be crowned like Mary with the everlasting glory of Jesus, her Son.

Pray together:
The Hail! Holy Queen
Hail! Holy Queen, Mother of mercy; our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us. And after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.
"Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen."
