Mission Statement:
To provide a safe and stimulating environment for the children, of St. Martin's Catholic School, who require out-of-school care.
Philosophy:
We strive to provide supportive, qualified and caring staff that will promote each child's self esteem and nurture their emotional needs. It is our philosophy to provide quality care for students attending St. Martin's Out of School Care Program.
Program Description:
We provide after school care for children registered at St. Martin's attending PreK, Kindergarten (ECS) through to and including Grade 6. We endeavor to meet the needs of individual children, as well as the group as a whole, by offering a nurturing and stimulating environment where children are free to make choices and develop relationships with peers and adults.
We create an environment that is inviting, comfortable, inclusive, child directed, orderly, and most of all, FUN. We promote healthy and active lifestyle choices by encouraging physical activities such as sports, games, and outdoor play
Out of School Child Care is operated by a Non Profit Society. This society, in partnership with the school administration, ensure that the program meets the needs of all involved. The program is staffed by qualified child care professionals with a staff to child ratio that is usually lower than the Alberta Child Care licensing regulations.
Hours of Operation:
The program is open, on school days, from 7:15 am - 8:30 am and 2:55 pm - 5:30 pm (with the exception of early dismissal days, which will be modified to 1:55 pm - 5:30 pm). The program follows the school calendar - any time there is a school closure, our program will not be operational.
